In 2003, Kelly Hodge-Williams became the founding executive director of Business Volunteers Maryland, a unique and critically needed nonprofit organization serving central Maryland.
For the past 10 years Business Volunteers has been dedicated to strengthening our community by creating powerful connections between local businesses, volunteers and nonprofit organizations.
Under Kelly’s leadership the organization has helped engage a wide range of talent, experience, leadership and resources in the community that is valued at more than $20 million.
As the economy has changed, Kelly and her team responded to evolving community needs by enhancing current programs and introducing innovative new programs. Today the organization works with more than 60 businesses, 600 board members, 15,000 volunteers and 400 nonprofits.
Some of Kelly’s other noticeable achievements include serving on the boards of The GBC Leadership, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chesapeake, Hands On Baltimore and Volunteer Central. She was named as a Maryland Top 100 Woman in 2011, received SmartCEO's Bravo! Women Business Achievement Award, and has served on committees for a number of regional nonprofits.
Prior to founding Business Volunteers, Kelly was the executive director of the Sylvan Learning Foundation and an Investment Advisor at Deutsche Bank Alex Brown for eight years. Kelly has a Bachelors in Business Administration from Loyola College.
