David joined BTS Software Solutions (BTS-S2) as CEO in 2014. Following a 24-year Army career, he retired from Fort Meade as a colonel in 2011, made Baltimore City his new home, and moved to the commercial sector. With a focus on growth since joining, BTS-S2 doubled in size; added Verb8tm©, an advanced text captioning service for the deaf and hard of hearing; and expanded the government and commercial portfolios.
Over his professional career, he considers his most significant accomplishments to be:
- Serving in the US Army with an amazingly supportive and successful family that survived 12 moves over 24 years.
- Leading BTS Software Solutions through our toughest summer ever and coming out strong.
- Completing the STEM transfer of Verb8tm© from Towson University in December 2014
- Giving back through membership in the District Export Council and coaching young Baltimoreans through the Network for Training Entrepreneurship (NFTE).
