Brian Rogers

Brian C. Rogers is Chairman of the Board and Chief Investment Officer of T. Rowe Price Group. Brian manages several of the firm’s major separate account portfolios and also serves as President and Chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee of the $19 billion Equity Income Fund. Brian has 31 years investment experience, 28 of which have been at T. Rowe Price.

Based in Baltimore, Maryland, T. Rowe Price Group and its affiliates serve as investment adviser to more than 450 separate and commingled institutional accounts and more than 80 stock, bond, and money market funds. The company’s international investment arm, T. Rowe Price International, is headquartered in London and has offices in Buenos Aires, Hong Kong, Paris, Singapore and Australia. As of September 30, 2010, T. Rowe Price had $439 billion in assets under management.

Mr. Rogers is a member of the John Hopkins Board of Trustees, and chairs its investment committee. In addition, he is the Chairman of the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s Independent Review Board. He is also a board member of the Greater Baltimore Committee and a member of the investment committee for Vanderbilt University. He has served on the boards at Gilman School and Roland Park Country School.

Mr. Rogers earned an A.B. in Economics from Harvard University and an M.B.A. in Finance from Harvard Business School. He is accredited as a Chartered Financial Analyst and as a Chartered Investment Counselor.

As far as "accomplishments" are concerned, Brian cited the following:

  • When T. Rowe Price went public in 1986 the company had $19 billion in assets under management. Today we have approximately $450 billion assets under management.
  • Went from several hundred employees in the early 80's to 5,000 employees today.
  • Of all of the companies that went public in 1986 T. Rowe is the best performing IPO trailing only Microsoft.
